KUALA LUMPUR – Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) proudly unveils the enhanced Golf GTI, now equipped with a state-of-the-art 10-speaker Harman Kardon audio system and an innovative Head-up Display feature. These premium additions come standard in the new Golf GTI, which will be available at a recommended retail price of RM252,990.
The Harman Kardon 480-watt audio system transforms the interior ambience of the GTI, providing an immersive surround sound experience through its 10 speakers. This addition enhances the driving experience, delivering impressive acoustics to complement the iconic hot hatch.
The Head-up Display feature ensures drivers stay informed without diverting their attention from the road. Displaying vital information such as speed, navigation, and system warnings directly on the windscreen, it contributes to a safer and more focused driving experience.
Powered by a 2.0TSI turbocharged engine and a 7-speed wet clutch DSG, the Golf GTI boasts 245PS and 370Nm of torque, solidifying its status as an iconic hot hatch. Its distinctive design features, including the signature honeycomb front grille, red GTI trims, 18” Richmond alloy wheels, and full LED headlamps, make it immediately recognizable on the road.
The IQ Drive system, comprising Travel Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Side Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front Assist, Lane Assist, and Adaptive Lane Guidance, further elevates the Golf GTI’s safety and convenience. This hot hatch comes with a 5-year free maintenance package, 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, and 5-year roadside assistance, providing peace of mind to its owners.
To celebrate this launch, VPCM is hosting the first Volkswagen Tour of the year in Penang from January 4th to 7th 2024, at Queensbay Mall. The event will showcase the updated Golf GTI, Arteon R-Line, Golf R, and Tiguan Allspace R-Line, with test drives available.
