Maserati Unveils New Overseas Region in Strategic Business Restructuring

Modena, 16 January 2024 – Maserati, the renowned Italian luxury manufacturer, marks the beginning of 2024 with a significant move, introducing the Overseas Region to its global business structure. This addition aims to redefine Maserati’s market organization, enhancing focus and collaboration.

Hamdy Elshantoury has been appointed as the head of the newly created Overseas Region, effective from 1st January. This strategic decision expands Maserati’s market organization to five regions, including US & Canada (North America), Europe, China, Japan & Korea, and the freshly established Overseas.

In response to this restructuring, markets from former regions are redistributed into the new Overseas Region, fostering a dynamic business configuration. The region will operate as a gateway for partners and the dealer network, facilitated by a dedicated marketing team.

Hamdy Elshantoury, who concurrently holds responsibility for MEA in an ad interim capacity, leads the Overseas Region. Wong Yi Mui Wallace takes charge of SEAP & India markets, and Marco Spadaro assumes responsibility for East Europe and Latin American markets.

Maserati’s CEO, Davide Grasso, expressed enthusiasm about the development, stating, “The creation of a fifth region confirms the intention to give our business an even more precise and specific configuration at a global level. It aims to better cover and respond to individual market requirements, improving development and efficiency.”

To enhance coordination, the Overseas Region’s leadership team and functions will be based at Maserati’s headquarters in Modena, Italy. This strategic alignment is expected to expedite decision-making processes and provide robust support to markets.

Maserati, operating in over 70 markets worldwide, continues to embody its commitment to serving diverse markets by tailoring its approach to individual requirements. The company’s future plans include a complete transition to full-electric models by 2030.
