McLaren GT and artist Karwai Chan redefine mobile art
McLaren Kuala Lumpur recently collaborated with artist Karwai Chan to unveil Ride Every Wave, a McLaren GT, hand-painted in oils.
Karwai painted the McLaren free-hand, taking over 200 hours, to cover the white body of the GT in oil paints. The one-of-a-kind artwork is a cross-cultural confluence of British engineering with artwork inspired by Chinese Blue and White pottery, rendered in the style of Japanese artist, Hokusai, and brought together by Malaysian creativity.
