Kuala Lumpur — Mercedes-Benz Malaysia proudly announces the arrival of the locally-assembled GLC, reinforcing its position as a segment leader in the luxury SUV category. This announcement follows the successful launch of the Mercedes-Benz GLC 300 4MATIC earlier this year, with the new GLC 300 4MATIC now available as a CKD unit in a single variant at RM 378,888, inclusive of 10% Sales Tax (for Peninsular Malaysia).
The new GLC embodies contemporary, sporty, and opulent driving, setting a new standard in the world of luxury SUVs. Crafted with exceptional attention to detail and equipped with impressive off-road capabilities, the GLC delivers top-tier performance on any terrain.
Bettina Plangger, Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Mercedes-Benz Cars Malaysia & SEA II, commented, “With over 12,000 units sold since 2016, the GLC maintains its status as Mercedes-Benz’s best-selling SUV in Malaysia, offering a harmonious blend of luxury, versatility, and driving pleasure. The introduction of the locally-assembled GLC marks a significant milestone in our journey, reaffirming our unwavering commitment to delivering uncompromised quality to our valued customers in Malaysia.”
The new GLC bears the distinctive design language of the Mercedes-Benz SUV family. The AMG Line enhances its sporty and exclusive exterior, featuring polished aluminium roof rails, aluminium-look running boards with rubber studs, and striking 20-inch AMG multi-spoke light-alloy wheels. The Panoramic sliding sunroof adds a touch of luxury and brightness to the exterior, creating a unique visual impression.
One notable feature is the DIGITAL LIGHT, which adapts road illumination to various conditions, ensuring excellent visibility for the driver without affecting fellow road users.
Inside, the GLC 300 4MATIC boasts an AMG Line interior, exuding sportiness and luxury. The cabin showcases ARTICO man-made leather upholstery in black, MICROCUT microfibre, and AMG sports pedals. The multifunction sports steering wheel in nappa leather, with its distinctive design, draws inspiration from motorsport and enhances the dynamic aesthetic appeal of the cockpit.
The dashboard’s design is both functional and elegant, housing a 12.3-inch high-resolution display screen and an 11.9-inch central display with MBUX (Mercedes-Benz User Experience) infotainment system, offering features like full-screen navigation and MBUX Augmented Reality.
Practicality and Technology:
The GLC offers practicality with an increased rear overhang, resulting in a significantly larger luggage capacity of 620 litres. Features like HANDS-FREE ACCESS simplify loading and unloading, making it a stress-free process.
The GLC also incorporates advanced technology, including the Parking package with a 360-degree camera and the functions of Active Parking Assist with PARKTRONIC. In off-road mode, the GLC’s 360-degree camera provides a “transparent bonnet” on the central display, offering a virtual view beneath the front of the vehicle.
