Hyundai Palisade is new to the Hyundai Malaysia line-up
The Hyundai Palisade is now available in Malaysia. The SUV comes in two-wheel, front drive petrol or four-wheel drive diesel versions and are available in seven or eight seat layouts.
The Luxe 7 and Luxe 8 models are seven and eight seaters respectively. They are petrol engined with 3.6-litre, V6 mills that produce 291bhp at 6000rpm and 355Nm at 5200rpm. 0-100km/h takes 7.8seconds to the top speed of 210km/h. The transmission is an eight-speed shift-by-wire automatic.
The Executive 7 and Executive 8 are also seven and eight seater models. The four-cylinder diesels produce 197bhp at 3800bhp and 440Nm of torque between 1750 to 2750rpm. Zero-to-hundred takes 10.2seconds. The top speed is 190km/h. The transmission is also an eight-speed shift-by-wire automatic.
At just under five metres long at 4980mm, the Hyundai Palisade has a 2900mm wheelbase. Its width is 1975mm and it’s 1750mm high with 20-inch alloy wheels. The boot space is 704 litres with the third row folded, 311 litres with the third row in use.
The front suspension is a Macpherson Strut while the rear is multi-link. Brakes are ventilated discs, 18-inch front and 17-inch at the rear. The brake is electronic with auto hold.
Standard equipment in all four models are LED headlamps, LED combination rear lamps, LED daytime running lights, rear LED fog lamps, dual power tilt and slide sunroofs.

The Executive 7 and Executive 8 have conventional cruise control, blind spot collision warning and rear cross traffic collision warning. Safe Exit Alert (SEA) and Rear Occupant Alert (ROA) are in all variants.
All variants get heated and ventilated front seats. 12-way memory for the driver seat and eight-way power for the front passenger seat. The seats are Nappa Leather or Leather. Smart One-touch Walk-in is fitted for the second row. The supervision cluster is fully digital, a seven-inch TFT LCD screen. The infotainment unit is screen is an eight-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and voice recognition. The front passengers have dual zone, automatic air-conditioning. The second and third row have single zone, automatic air-conditioning.
Other goodies are auto lights, auto wipers, power tailgate, rear-view camera with Dynamic Parking Guide, seven USB ports, 4 power outlets, an advanced tyre pressure monitoring system.
The Hyundai Palisade comes in five exterior colours, three leather interior colours and three interior trim options.
