Taiwan Excellence, online showcase of Taiwanese advancements in scooter technology and manufacturing
Taiwan is one of the Top 10 motorcycle/scooter producers in the world. The Taiwanese motorcycle industry recently held 2020 Taiwan Excellence Scooter Industry online. The event was to highlight the strengths of Taiwan’s motorcycle industry and the advancements in material design, manufacturing and fabrication the industry has achieved.
Under the spotlight were four companies, Aeon Motor, Giant Protech, A Man Power Transmission and Motive Power Industry.
Aeon Motor has been manufacturing scooters for over 23 years. In 2018, the company collaborated with Gogoro to launch the first smart electric scooter with a smart meter system, the Ai-3. The Ai-3 is designed with a double front-loaded space and a linked braking system to provide riders with greater convenience and safety. The scooter also comes equipped with AI smart assistance-Coxera, making the motorcycle more user-friendly.
Giant Protech specialises in the computer numerical control manufacture of high precision motorcycle & auto parts. Their Patented Two-Piece Forged wheel is a new concept in the scooter industry. The wheels were designed via 3D modelling and simulation, and made with aerospace grade aluminium, making them lightweight yet strong.
A Man Power Transmission is the largest roller chain manufacturer in the world. Their High-Density Plasma Ceramic Coating Technology (HDPCCT) effectively avoids hydrogen embrittlement and traditional electroplating pollution. It is also anti-scratch with abrasion resistance and corrosion protection.
Motive Power Industry is a specialist brand in scooter manufacturing. The Tigra 200 scooter is designed to offer the best solutions for any riders’ requirements. It has a brand new DOHC engine with forging pistons to enhance durability and burning efficiency. The enhanced Bosch ABS braking system also makes the bike safer for riders.
The 2020 Taiwan Excellence showcase is an international promotional campaign organised by the Bureau of Foreign Trade (BOFT) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
In addition, Taiwan Excellence also launched the “Smart Transportation Virtual Pavilion”. The site shares 55 award-winning Taiwan Excellence products from 27 leading companies, which helps global buyers to familiarise themselves with Taiwanese auto vehicles’ products and solutions.
