Proton Certified Pre-Owned Vehicles extended warranty coverage up to 12 months or 25,000km
Proton Certified Pre-Owned vehicles extended warranty now on all cars sold by Proton authorised used car outlets. The extended warranty is for one-year. It covers the engine and transmission for the first 25,000km or 12 months of normal use. Defective parts will be repaired or replaced. Allianz General Insurance is the underwriter.
There is a 201-point inspection for all vehicles in the PCPO programme. The cars are free of any flood or major accident damage. Besides the one-year extended warranty, customers also get a one-time free basic service six months from the date of purchase.

Since 2019, Proton’s Used Car Management (UCM) unit has introduced operating procedures and provided training for used car inspectors to manage transactions at each outlet. The inspectors ensure the services provided meet the expectations set by the brand. Currently, there are 36 outlets offering PCPO vehicles in the country.
