The move comes amid strong interest from customers nationwide, as the national carmaker looks to make it easier for Malaysians to secure test drives and place reservations for Perodua’s first EV.
Perodua president and chief executive officer Dato’ Sri Zainal Abidin Ahmad said the expansion would improve accessibility and convenience for customers keen on the QV-E.
“We have received healthy interest from potential customers from across the country, and we are now expanding our reach to include more locations so that our customers can book test drives and reserve their very own Perodua QV-E,” he said.
In addition to digital bookings via Perodua’s P Circle super-app, the company has also introduced manual booking options at selected outlets after receiving feedback from customers who preferred the conventional method.
“Originally, we requested our customers to make their booking through our super-app, P Circle, but some of our customers asked to include the normal option of booking collection,” Dato’ Sri Zainal added.
Perodua is also working to simplify the terms and conditions of its Battery-as-a-Service (BAAS) programme, with clearer explanations to be provided through infographic materials.
Under the BAAS programme, customers pay a fixed subscription fee of RM275 per month for 108 months (nine years). The fee has been capped to protect customers from future price increases, while the battery will be fully maintained by Perodua throughout the subscription period.

The programme is designed to provide peace of mind even beyond the nine-year term, with Perodua retaining responsibility for battery upkeep and environmental management.
Perodua also offers administrative support for BAAS subscription transfers when ownership changes. If a QV-E owner sells the vehicle, Perodua’s Pre-Owned Vehicle Department will handle the transfer, with the remaining subscription period passed on to the new owner.
For instance, if 50 months of payments have already been made, the new owner will only need to continue paying for the remaining 58 months under the same plan.
According to Dato’ Sri Zainal, the BAAS programme reflects Perodua’s commitment to customer safety, convenience and environmental responsibility through responsible battery management.
