Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has unveiled the refreshed Arteon R-Line 4MOTION, which now comes equipped with IQ.DRIVE technology, Front Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, and wireless charging. The recommended retail price of the car is RM299,990. The Arteon is powered by a 2.0L TSI turbocharged engine that produces 280PS with 350Nm of torque, and has a 7-speed wet clutch DSG direct shift gearbox. The fastback can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 5.6 seconds and has a fuel efficiency of 7.4L/100km. The car also features a 4MOTION all-wheel drive system, which delivers power to the rear wheels when required for better traction and control on the road.
The interior of the Arteon is spacious and elegant, with a sporty feel. Driver features are innovative, intuitive, and customizable with information all easily accessible via the Digital Cockpit and Discover Pro infotainment system, which features wireless connectivity for Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The car is also equipped with a premium Harman Kardon 700-watt audio system.
The Arteon boasts distinctive lines and a strong character line that runs uninterrupted around the entire car, visually pressing the body volume downward, giving it a dynamic appearance. The car is equipped with Dynamic Cornering Lights, LED 3D rear taillights with sequential turn signals, and All Weather Light for wider illumination to enhance visibility during bad weather and poor lighting.
Safety features include Front Assist, Adaptive Cruise Control, Side Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Assist, the Rear Cross Traffic Alert, 360° Area View system, Post Collision Braking System, Intelligent Crash Response System (ICRS), Electronic Different Lock (XDS), Electronic Stability Control (ESC), Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Brake Assist (BA), Active Bonnet, Tyre Pressure Monitoring System, and Manoeuvre Braking.
