Mitsubishi Unveils DST Concept at the Philippine International Motor Show

Tokyo, October 24, 2024 – Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has debuted the Mitsubishi DST Concept, an all-new midsize SUV, at the 9th Philippine International Motor Show. This new addition to Mitsubishi’s lineup reflects the company’s commitment to providing exciting and adventurous mobility solutions for drivers and passengers alike.

Expanding the brand’s offerings in the ASEAN region, which already includes the Pajero Sport, Xforce, and Xpander series, the Mitsubishi DST Concept is a three-row, seven-seater SUV designed to deliver comfort and adventure. Mitsubishi Motors aims to launch the production model across ASEAN markets, including the Philippines, in fiscal year 2025.

Takao Kato, president and CEO of Mitsubishi Motors, emphasized the global significance of the DST Concept: “This vehicle will follow the success of the Xpander and Xforce and is set to become a beloved model in our global lineup.”

Refined Design Meets Rugged Performance

The Mitsubishi DST Concept embodies a blend of Gravitas and Dynamism, featuring a spacious cabin and robust exterior. Its bold proportions, highlighted by a sleek nose and wraparound windows, exude a commanding presence. The SUV’s design further emphasizes strength through large tires, high ground clearance, and sculpted fender flares.

Mitsubishi’s iconic Dynamic Shield design is present on the front grille, providing both a powerful look and protection. The T-shaped LED lighting, alongside horizontal bars on the rear C-pillar, gives the SUV a modern and premium aesthetic.

Luxurious and Spacious Interior

Inside, the DST Concept boasts a sophisticated cabin wrapped in high-quality materials. The large LCD display, which integrates both driver and center panels, offers seamless access to vital driving information. A panoramic sunroof adds a touch of luxury, allowing natural light to fill the interior, enhancing the spacious atmosphere.

Unmatched Performance for Any Terrain

With five different driving modes, including Wet, Tarmac, Gravel, Mud, and Normal, the Mitsubishi DST Concept is designed to tackle diverse road conditions found across the ASEAN region. Its high ground clearance and versatile handling provide a safe and comfortable ride, whether navigating flooded streets or rugged terrain.

Mitsubishi Motors continues to focus on producing innovative SUVs, and the DST Concept is another step toward expanding its lineup with a global strategic vehicle that meets the diverse needs of drivers around the world.
