PUTRAJAYA – The Road Transport Department (JPJ) has announced the opening of bids for the highly anticipated Madani Series Special Registration Numbers (NPI), starting Saturday, October 19, and running until 10:00 PM on Wednesday, October 23. Bidders can participate through the JPJeBid System, with a starting bid price as low as RM100.
According to Datuk Aedy Fadly Ramli, the results of the bidding process will be released on Thursday, October 24. Successful bidders must register their number plates within 12 months of receiving the official bid result letter.
“This bidding method is subject to the existing Terms and Conditions outlined in the JPJeBid System,” Aedy Fadly stated in a press release on Sunday, October 20.
Categories and Bid Prices
The minimum bid prices for the Madani number plate series have been set based on the following categories:
- Main Number: RM20,000
- Premium Number: RM5,000
- Attractive Number: RM2,500
- Popular Number: RM500
- Running Number: RM100
Supporting Malaysia’s MADANI Agenda
Commenting on the initiative, Aedy Fadly emphasized that the NPI auction is a government initiative aimed at supporting the MADANI Malaysia agenda, which promotes civic values. Proceeds from the auction will be channeled towards various initiatives under the Ministry of Transport, including:
- MyLESEN programme
- Helmet Exchange programme
- FlySISWA
- Socso payments to taxi drivers
The funds will help implement these and other important projects aimed at benefiting the public.
