Rawang, Malaysia— Wednesday, 9 October 2024 – Aveta Global Marketing Sdn Bhd, the manufacturer, assembler, and distributor of Aveta motorcycles, is excited to announce the official launch of the VTM 250, a dual-purpose model that adds a thrilling new option to its adventure bike range.
The VTM 250 comes in two distinct variants, each tailored to meet the needs of different riders. The LX variant, set to be available by the end of October, is crafted for enduro enthusiasts eager to explore diverse trails and terrains. Following closely, the M variant will launch in December, designed as a stylish, fun, and practical daily commuter—an affordable entry into the world of supermoto.
Both variants are powered by a robust 250cc oil-cooled, 4-stroke single-cylinder SOHC engine, paired with a fuel-efficient 6-speed manual transmission. The primary differences between the two models lie in their ground clearance and wheel sizes. The LX variant features a higher ground clearance of 305 mm with a 21-inch front rim and an 18-inch rear rim, ideal for off-road adventures. In contrast, the M variant offers a 290 mm clearance with 17-inch front and rear aluminum rims, enhancing durability and reducing overall weight for improved agility and handling on the street. Additionally, riders can choose between two striking color schemes: the LX is available in Arsenal Red or Army Green, while the M variant comes in Blazing Red or Admiral Blue.
The pricing for the VTM 250 LX is set at RM12,988.00 (excluding insurance and road tax), while the M variant will retail at RM13,388.00. Both models are backed by a one-year or 10,000 km warranty, whichever comes first.
According to Aveta Group Managing Director Steven Lim, the launch of the dual-purpose VTM 250 reinforces the core values of the Aveta brand, known for its unique lifestyle bikes that redefine boundaries and offer limitless adventure at affordable price points.
“The VTM 250 is feature-packed, affordable, and easy to maintain. Best of all, it’s street-legal, equipped with proper signal lights and side mirrors, meaning riders can use it both on and off the road. There’s no need for a pick-up truck to transport it to your training or racing site. We believe it will attract enduro and supermoto enthusiasts seeking weekend adventures, as well as those looking for a stylish and enjoyable daily commuter,” said Lim.
Building on the success of the Ranger Max Explorer, Aveta is confident in the market’s response to the new VTM 250 model and plans to introduce additional new models in 2025, all aimed at the adventure lifestyle segment.
“The success of the Ranger Max Explorer exceeded all our expectations. Our goal is to deliver exciting, adventure-driven products that allow every Malaysian to experience the freedom and joy of riding. With the VTM 250, we’re bringing that dream even closer,” Lim added.
Aveta is also committed to strengthening its aftersales support network, which currently features 16 Aveta Authorised Service Corners nationwide, alongside its mobile customer service program, Aveta Care on Wheels. The company is expanding its presence with nine stockists across Malaysia, providing customers with easier access to genuine parts and services, with plans to increase the number of stockists further to better serve riders nationwide.
To encourage early purchases and add a sense of exclusivity, Aveta is offering an exclusive Gift with Purchase (GWP) set for the first 50 customers of each VTM 250 variant (LX and M).
