Euromobil Sdn Bhd, DRB-HICOM’s subsidiary handling Audi, recently launched the “Malaysia. Land of quattro” online challenge as part of an overall global brand message to promote quattro, Audi’s leading all-wheel drive technology. Participants can win a Grand Prize of an all-expenses paid trip for two to Dubai Autodrome where they can experience quattro to the limits on the Audi R8 V10 quattro.
Audi introduced the quattro all-wheel drive system for passenger cars in 1980 and created a new category of cars which had permanent all-wheel drive for impressive driving dynamics, superior cornering capabilities and directional stability, and more fun at the wheel. To prove the point, it entered the World Rally Championship (WRC) at the same time the cars appeared in showrooms and even in the early rallies, it was clear that the Quattro was superior. Within a year, Audi was dominant in WRC events and showed off other technologies with its Group B supercars.
Euromobil invites the Malaysian public to take part in the online challenge at www.landofquattro.com.my. The microsite also pays homage to the country’s most popular driving routes, honouring them as true land of quattro. Questions pertaining to quattro and the diverse driving terrain in Malaysia will be revealed daily at 12 noon. Participants will earn mileage for every correct answer and additional mileage can be collected upon sharing the contest on Facebook.
At the end of the competition, participants with the highest mileage will be flown to Dubai for the Audi R8 driving experience. The subsequent top 40 scorers will also get to experience – in Malaysia – the dynamic potential of quattro on a local Audi quattro driving experience event. The Malaysia.
