All-new BMW 430i Coupé M Sport with bigger and bolder looks

The all-new BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is now in Malaysia. Most dominant feature is the large kidney grille which extend town almost to the lower edge of the front apron. The grill sports a new mesh design of floating horizontal nuggets in matt aluminium that come together to form a honeycomb pattern – all framed in high-gloss chrome.

The all-new BMW 430i Coupé M Sport’s is bigger than its predecessor. The dimensions measure slightly larger at 4,768 mm in length (+130), 1,852 mm in width (+27), 1,383 mm in height (+6), and 2,851 mm in wheelbase (+41). The boot is 440-litres.

It has short overhangs and the longest coupé doors on any BMW. The wheels are 19-inch M light alloys in double-spoke style 797 M Bicolour with mixed tyres and runflat tyres. The M Sport brakes have blue painted brake callipers and ‘M’ designation. Also exhaust tailpipes which finished in high-gloss chrome.

The car has M Aerodynamics Package, new BMW Laserlights with High-beam Assistant, LED fog lights, the BMW Individual high-gloss Shadow Line.

The output from the 2.0-litre turbocharged petrol engine is 258bhp, 400Nm of torque with 0-100 is 5.8 seconds and top speed in 250km/h. The transmission is an eight-speed automatic. The drive dynamics are courtesy of M Sport suspension, M Sport brakes, Variable Sport Steering and ARB technology (actuator contiguous wheel slip limitation).

In addition, there is Dynamic Stability Control (DSC), including Dynamic Traction Control (DTC), Cornering Brake Control (CBC), Dynamic Brake Control (DBC) and Antilock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist to provide a complete package in advanced driving dynamics.

Standard interior equipment are sport seats for the driver and passenger, M leather steering wheel, M-specific pedals, Leather Vernasca upholstery, and BMW Individual headliner Anthracite, complete with interior trim finisher Aluminium Tetragon with highlight trim finisher in Pearl Chrome. M-specific stripes adorn the safety belts for both front and rear seats.

A high centre console separates the driver from the front passenger. The instrument cluster and Control Display are integrated. The instrument panel is complete in Sensatec. There are also Multi-function buttons for the steering wheel, additional storage compartment with the front armrest, and electric seat adjustment with memory function for the driver.

The BMW Live Cockpit Professional has a fully digital 12.3” instrument display along with BMW Navigation System Professional with 10.25” touch sensitive display. There’s also a 16-speaker Harman Kardon Surround Sound System and extended functionality for Bluetooth and USB devices with wireless charging.

The Connected Package Professional comes as standard and includes Intelligent Emergency Call, Teleservices, and Intelligent Personal Assistant. The latest BMW Operating System 7 has customisable widgets for the control display and real-time display of desired information. Remote Software Upgrade ensures timely software updates, with new vehicle functions retrofitted seamlessly via over-the-air upgrades.

In addition, the 430i has the Driving Assistant Package. This consists of Lane Departure Warning, Lane Change Warning, and front collision warning with brake intervention. Other driver safety systems included are Speed Limit Assist, Cross-traffic Warning, Rear Collision Prevention, and Approach Control Warning. .

There is also Parking Assistant with rear-view camera and Reversing Assistant. Reversing Assistant continuously records the last 50 metres of driving, at speeds of up to 35 km/h, and can reverse the same way if required. This makes it easier to navigate out of parking spots or tight spaces.

The all-new BMW 430i Coupé M Sport is RM454,800.00 (on-the-road, without insurance). It is available in Arctic Race Blue Metallic, Portimao Blue, Alpine White, and Black Sapphire. Leather Vernasca upholstery with black décor stitching decorates the interior and comes in Black, Tacora Red or Cognac.
