MercedesTrophy 2026 Returns, Bringing Golf and Luxury Together

KUALA LUMPUR – Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has officially announced the return of the prestigious MercedesTrophy for 2026, reaffirming its commitment to delivering exclusive lifestyle experiences beyond the road.

Now in its 36th year, the MercedesTrophy continues to stand as one of the world’s most recognised amateur golf tournament series, bringing together Mercedes-Benz customers who share a passion for the game and refined living.

According to Elaine Hew, the tournament goes beyond competition, serving as a platform for customers to connect and experience the brand in a more personal and engaging way.

“The MercedesTrophy is more than a competition — it celebrates connection, enjoyment, and a shared passion for excellence that reflects the true spirit of our brand,” she said.

Road to the National Final

MercedesTrophy 2026 will kick off with four qualifying rounds beginning 12 May 2026, held at top-tier golf clubs including Tropicana Golf & Country Club and Kota Permai Golf & Country Club.

Successful players will then advance to the National Final on 22 June 2026 at The ELS Club Desaru Coast.

Participants will compete across four categories based on handicap levels, with both men’s and women’s divisions featured.

Chance to Represent Malaysia on the World Stage

The top three performers at the National Final will earn the honour of representing Malaysia at the MercedesTrophy World Final in Germany, taking place from 28 September to 2 October 2026.

This global stage reflects the tournament’s scale, with over 60,000 golfers participating annually across more than 60 countries since its debut in 1991.

Luxury Rewards On and Off the Course

Adding to the excitement, participants have the chance to win a Mercedes-Benz E 350 e with a hole-in-one at designated par-3 holes during qualifying rounds.

Another highlight is the “Drive to the Major” challenge, where the golfer with the straightest drive at the National Final will win an all-expenses-paid trip to attend The Open Championship 2026.

Players can also look forward to exclusive merchandise and prizes from partners including Mercedes-Benz Financial, 100Plus, TaylorMade, and Hard Rock Hotel Desaru Coast.

Celebrating 140 Years of Innovation

MercedesTrophy 2026 also aligns with the brand’s global celebration of 140 years since the invention of the automobile by Carl Benz.

The milestone underscores Mercedes-Benz’s legacy of innovation, from the world’s first car in 1886 to today’s advanced and electrified vehicles.
