BMW Malaysia has officially launched the all-new 2020 BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport online with prices starting from RM 729,800.
BMW Malaysia has unveiled the All-New 2020 BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport (G06) at the premium automaker’s first-ever virtual unveiling in Malaysia on BMW Malaysia’s online shop, which other BMW models including BMW X6 xDrive40i and the BMW 840i Gran Coupé M Sport are available for booking online.
The 2020 BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport has grown up in terms of size and standard features as well as the latest driver assistance systems. Compared to its predecessor, the third-generation All-New BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport Sports Activity Coupe has grown in terms size.
The X6 SAC measures lengthwise at 4,935mm (+26mm), width at 2,004mm (+15mm) and the wheelbase lengthened by an additional 42mm (2,975mm). However, the overall weight has shortened by 6mm (1,696 mm)
Like the “Angel Lights” first introduced in the early 2000s, the BMW X6 xDrive40i’s large kidney grille comes with the distinctive ‘Iconic Glow’ illumination within. In addition, the grille is flanked by the slim twin BMW Laserlights with high-beam assistant and LED fog lights.
For the Malaysian market, the all-new SAC features the BMW Individual Exterieur Line trimming and roof rails finished in satin finish aluminium. At the rear, the BMW X6 is recognisable with its full-LED three-dimensional taillights the signature BMW L-shape. And automatic tailgate operation is available as part of the X6’s standard equipment.
Moreover, the M Sport highlights include the M Sport exhaust system, M Sport brake, Adaptive M Suspension and 21-inch M light-alloy wheels in Y-spoke style 741 M Bicolour with mixed and run-flat tyres.
The driver-centric interior features the BMW Live Cockpit Professional that includes a 12.3-inch customisable digital instrument cluster and a 12.3-inch touchscreen Control Display. The latter is powered by BMW’s latest-generation BMW Operating System 7.0 infotainment system, which is also connected to the two 10-inch touchscreen displays at the rear.
Likewise, with other BMW models, owners of the all-new SAC will get to use the BMW Display Key and wireless charging, along with the BMW Connected Package Professional with Teleservices, Intelligent Emergency Call. And Apple CarPlay is available as well.
Now 83% larger, the two-part panoramic glass roof, that is n lends a lighter inside. While the 40/20/40-split-folding function rear backrests can be folded down flat, allowing the 580-litre boot capacity to go up as much as 1,530-litres. Sound replication comes from the Harman Kardon 16-Speaker Surround Sound System. And the ambient lighting can be customised with up to six different selections.
The All-New BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport is powered by a three-litre six-cylinder in-line petrol BMW TwinPower Turbo engine which makes 340 hp at 5,500-6,500 rpm and 450 Nm at 1,500-5,200 rpm. The all-new SAC can also make the century sprint in just 5.5 seconds, and all the way up to its electronically-limited 250 km/h top speed. Fuel consumption stands at 9.0 L/100km combined as claimed by BMW.
Mated to the engine is an eight-speed Steptronic Sport transmission with the BMW xDrive all-wheel-drive system. Suspending the BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport is a double-wishbone front suspension and five-link rear suspension and Dynamic Damper Control fitted as standard.
BMW’s latest driving assistance systems are also key features in the all-new BMW X6, including the Driving Assistant Professional which comes with the Cross-traffic Warning at the rear and Lane Change Warning. This also includes the Active Cruise Control with Stop & Go function, as well as the Steering and Lane Control Assistant with narrow-passage support.
In addition, the Parking Assistant Plus available as standard includes the Parking Assistant as well as the Reversing Assistant. This neat feature remembers the last 50 metres of your drive and is able to semi-automatically reverse the car out.
The All-New BMW X6 xDrive40i M Sport is offered in six colours:
- Manhattan
- Artic Grey
- Riverside Blue
- Carbon Black
- Mineral White
- Flamenco Red
The exterior hues can be paired with design-perforated BMW Leather ‘Vernasca’ in either Black (for all pairings) or Tacora Red (not available for Manhattan and Riverside Blue pairings).
